   Seems like solid pouch. But the item description does not include the dimensions of the actual pouch anywhere. The dimensions given are for the bag it comes in. The actual dimensions are 4 x 1.5 x 5 inches. This is too small for the item that I wanted to carry init, but I’m not returning it because I can use it to carry something else.

   It seems like some of the other reviewers may have received the wrong item. The 2 I ordered were indeed constructed of canvas material; not nylon or synthetic. Also the size was pretty accurate, I measured them to be about 4 3/8″ x 4 3/8″, only about 1/8″ smaller than the listing. Looks exactly like the photo, no issues.

   Great pouch and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was so pleased with the quality and versatility that I recently purchased a second one for another project, I may even get a third. The loop on the back will fit a rather wide belt, and it’s made of thick heavy canvas. I use one to carry strip clips for my old M44 (holds 4 loaded strip clips perfectly)

   The item is just as you see it, is a great and good priced item and does its job. My compass fits perfectly and it feel secure, so far no problems. This is obviously a simple pouch and should be used as one, that said, it seems tough and ready for action.
